Legion Software Lunch & Learn on Pedestrian Modeling

Tuesday, March 24, 12:00 - 1:00 PM -- MAPC, 60 Temple Place

YPT Boston welcomes Frederick Frank to discuss his work at Legion Software, a pedestrian simulation software. Legion simulates the movement of pedestrians in a quantitatively verifiable manner, taking into account how individuals interact with each other and with the physical obstacles in their environment. The tool was used to simulate pedestrian behavior for the 2008 Beijing Olympic games. Come learn more about how the tool works and how it can be applied! Visit Legion.com for more information!

Candlepin Bowling with YPT Boston!

Please join YPT Boston and your fellow transportation enthusiasts on March 20th for a fun night of candlepin bowling! Central Park Lanes in East Boston hasn't changed much over the years, and we are glad that it hasn't. It offers traditional New England-style candlepin bowling and is bring-your-own food and beverages. YPT will take care of the lanes and food, so just bring some drinks and you are all set for a great night with friends!

We'll be bowling on Friday, March 20th from 6-8pm. Central Park Lanes is located at 10 Saratoga St, East Boston, MA 02128, about a 10 minute walk or a short bus ride from the Maverick Station on the Blue Line. YPT will provide pizza, but you are welcome to bring other food, as well. Be sure to BYOB!

Don't want to bowl? No problem - we'd still love for you to come and hang out (scoring is all by hand, so we may need some extra help)!
