On Thursday, April 24th, YPT is pleased to welcome ConnDOT Deputy Commissioner Anna Barry as our networking night special guest. Ms. Barry fills the role of Chief Operating Officer and supports the Commissioner in implementing strategies and goals for the agency. Prior to joining ConnDOT, she held various roles at the MBTA, including Director of Subway Operations. As the MBTA's Director of Railroad Operations, Ms. Barry procured and oversaw the country's largest commuter rail services contract. She also worked for the Boston and Maine Railroad and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts before working at the MBTA. In all, she has more than 35 years of experience in transportation, particularly railroad and transit operations. Ms. Barry has also been active in various transportation organizations, such as WTS, Minority Transportation Officials, TRB, and APTA.

Candlepin Bowling at Central Park Lanes

Please join YPT Boston and your fellow transportation enthusiasts on March 28th for a fun night of old school candlepin bowling! Central Park Lanes in East Boston hasn't changed much over the years, and we are glad that it hasn't. It offers traditional New England-style candlepin bowling and is bring-your-own food and drink (alcohol allowed). YPT will take care of the lanes and food, so some drinks and a few bucks for a pair of awesome shoes and you are all set for a great night with friends!

We'll be bowling on Friday, March 28th from 6-8pm. Central Park Lanes is located at 10 Saratoga St, East Boston, MA 02128, about a 10 minute walk or a short bus ride from the Maverick Station on the Blue Line. There is no cost to you to bowl except shoe rentals, which are $1.50/pair. Lanes will be divvied up the day-of, and we'll do our best to keep groups together. YPT will provide pizza, but you are welcome to bring other food, as well. Be sure to BYOB!

Don't want to bowl? No problem - we'd still love for you to come and hang out (scoring is all by hand, so we may need some extra help)!
